This policy explains what personal data jeruo collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can do about it. It covers our website at jeruo.com, the jeruo platform that agencies use, and the lead pages agencies publish with it.
Who we are
jeruo is a trading name of John Doe, a sole trader in England and Wales, business address 60 St Giles High St, London WC2H 8LQ, United Kingdom. In this policy, "jeruo", "we" and "us" mean the business above. You can reach us about anything in this policy through our contact form.
The short version
- We collect what you give us when you book a demo, contact us or use jeruo, plus the technical data any website needs to run.
- We do not sell personal data. Our website sets no advertising cookies, and analytics cookies only if you agree.
- When an agency uses jeruo to collect leads, the agency decides what happens to those leads. We process them on the agency's behalf.
Information we collect
When you contact us or book a demo
Your name, email address, company, the number of creators you manage, the plan you are interested in, and anything you write in your message. We use it to reply, to arrange the demo and, if you become a customer, to set up your account.
When you use the jeruo platform
Account details such as your name, email address and password or Google sign-in; your workspace and the team members you invite; the content you create, such as creator profiles, lead magnets, pages and links; and billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and we never see or store full card numbers.
When you visit our website
Our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs to keep the website secure and working.
If you agree in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive and roughly where they are. It sets cookies whose names start with _ga and Google keeps that data for at most 14 months. If you decline, it does not load. We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months, then ask again. You can change it at any time with the cookie button in the bottom corner of every page, or Cookie settings in the footer. The website does not use advertising cookies.
Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots. On pages with a form it collects information about your browser, your device and how you use the page, and sends it to Google, which may set a security cookie. We use the result only to block automated submissions. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
When someone uses a lead page
When a person visits a lead page published with jeruo, we record the visit, the link that brought them (its source and campaign) and their device type. If they sign up, we store the details they enter and the consent they gave. Lead pages may use a first-party cookie to count visits and attribute sign-ups; they do not use third-party advertising cookies. We handle this data on behalf of the agency that published the page, as described below.
How we use information
We use personal data to:
- provide, secure and improve jeruo;
- reply to you, arrange demos and set up new customers;
- send service emails about your account, security and billing;
- send product news, but only if you ask for it, and you can unsubscribe at any time;
- meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in answering inquiries and running a secure service, your consent for optional marketing, and legal obligations.
Data we process for our customers
Agencies and creators who use jeruo decide what their lead pages collect and what happens to the leads. For that data our customer is the controller and jeruo is the processor. We process it only on their instructions, under a data processing agreement, and our customers are responsible for the privacy notice and consent their visitors see.
If you signed up on a lead page and want to see, correct or delete your data, contact the creator or agency that published the page. We will help them respond.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run jeruo:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the website and the platform |
| Supabase | Database and sign-in for the jeruo platform |
| Resend | Sends email |
| Cloudflare | Domain name services and email forwarding |
| Website analytics (only with your consent) and the bot check on our forms (reCAPTCHA) |
We will add our payment provider here when self-serve billing launches. Each provider only processes data to deliver its service to us.
We may also share data when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you first. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries and demo requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer.
- Account data: for as long as your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closing it, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices.
- Lead data: as our customer instructs, and deleted within 30 days after the customer's account closes.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, usually days rather than weeks.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it or send it to you in a portable format, and you can object to or restrict some processing or withdraw your consent. Send your request through our contact form and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
We encrypt data in transit, limit access to the people who need it, and keep our providers to the same standard. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
jeruo is a service for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will also email our customers before it takes effect.
